Costa Rica, 14 de octubre 2023.- La delegación de la Federación Nacional de Periodistas del Ecuador (FENAPE) participa activamente en la Asamblea General Ordinaria de la Federación de Periodistas de América Latina y el Caribe (FEPALC) en Garabito, Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
Durante estas jornadas de encuentro regional, nuestros líderes han insistido la necesidad de fortalecer el entorno de los periodistas en Ecuador, enfocándose en el acceso a información de entidades públicas, la seguridad de los profesionales de la comunicación y la importancia de garantizar un ambiente libre de violencia, amenazas y atentados.
La presidenta de FENAPE, Doris Mori, expresó que estás observaciones revisten gran importancia al compartirse con organismos internacionales, dado que el periodismo en Ecuador cada día enfrenta aumento de riesgos debido a la influencia del crimen organizado, que ha forzado hasta la fecha a cinco comunicadores a exiliarse del país.
